PrintGuard®, Orange Hide®, and PrintGuardPlus®
What is
PrintGuard®?
PrintGuard® is the brand name of the regular
(clear/translucent) antimarking glass bead film manufactured by
PrintGuard, Inc. When you see the PrintGuard® name/label on a glass beaded
sheet/jacket/shipping container, you know you are receiving the highest
quality glass beaded antimarking product. We manufacture all PrintGuard
products in our 25,000 sqft Plant in Millbury, Massachusetts USA.
What is Orange Hide®?
Orange Hide® is the brand name of the
premium (Orange color) antimarking glass bead film manufactured by
PrintGuard, Inc. We improved the PrintGuard Technology by adding a
permanently cross-linked Orange Ink Repellent coating on top of our
PrintGuard regular glass bead film.
Orange Hide has the following
benefits over PrintGuard Regular:
1. The permanent Orange Hide ink
repellent top coating improves the antimarking characteristics of glass
bead surface by reducing the surface energy, thereby further reducing
marking. This product performs extremely well on 4+ color printing presses
where marking tends to increase as additional colors/ink is applied to the
sheet in later printing stations (transfer cylinders for stations 4, 5, 6,
7, 8).
2. Reduces down time by further reducing marking and cleanup.
What is PrintGuardPlus® ?
PrintGuardPlus® is the brand name of
our newly patented technology that consists of the Orange Hide glass bead
film with a microcellular compressible back coating. We use PrintGuardPlus
material to manufacture all replacement Transfer Cylinder Jackets for
Heidelberg presses, Perfector Jackets for Mitsubishi Presses, and Transfer
Cylinder Jackets/Sheets for Shinohara Presses.
PrintGuardPlus has all
the benefits of our premium Orange Hide coating along with a microcellular
backing that provides both necessary packing and a perfect form fit to
your press cylinder. All Jackets made with PrintGuardPlus have custom
mechanical fastening fixtures attached to provide and easy, quick
installation to your press cylinder.
